This Santoku knife from the Boker Saga collection performs the three essential cutting tasks a Santoku is named for: slicing, dicing, and mincing. The wide blade of a Santoku makes it easier to handle.
Boker has manufactured knives in the German knife capital of Solingen for 150 years. The Saga collection was designed in collaboration with Danish knifemaker Jesper Voxnaes. The blade is forged from 440C stainless steel with chromium and molybdenum for hardness and corrosion resistance. The blade also boasts 57-58 Rockwell hardness for excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. Full tang construction offers additional strength and balance while cutting. The handle is made from G10, a glass fiber reinforced plastic composite that is lightweight, sturdy, and durable. G10 is also moisture- and heat-resistant.
