This hollow edge Santoku knife from the Boker Core collection performs the three essential cutting tasks a Santoku is named for: slicing, dicing, and mincing. The wide blade of a Santoku makes it easier to handle. The indentations create air pockets to push food away from the blade as you work, making this knife ideal for slicing food that tends to stick to knife blades.
Boker has manufactured knives in the German knife capital of Solingen for 150 years. The Core collection is hand-forged from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel with chromium and molybdenum for hardness and corrosion resistance, and vanadium for durability and wear resistance. The blade also boasts 58 Rockwell hardness for excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. Full tang construction offers additional strength and balance while cutting, and the rounded spine prevents painful pressure on your hand. The handle is made from patterned walnut and proportioned for a comfortable grip.
Hand wash and dry. Apply food-safe mineral oil to wood handle. Made in Germany.
